| 1. Open new image. 200 x
100 -Transparent. |
| 2. Select white for background
colour and an shade you prefer for foreground. I used 83,82,114. |
| 3. Using your Selection
tool, select an area 200x6. |
| 4. Click on the fill tool
then press 'O' on your keyboard to open up your tool box. In Fill Style
choose Linear Gradient. Click on Options and use 0 degree. |
| 5. Fill selection. Copy,
and paste into picture, leaving selected. Flip it and sit it right above
the first one. This is easiest to do if you zoom in close. 3:1 ought to
do it. Deselect all. |
| 6. While it's still zoomed,
select your line tool and black foreground. On every second pixel, draw
a straight line from top to bottom of picture, not the whole window. I
actually use 5:1 for this to be precise. Continue along in this fashion. |
| 7. If you wish to be lazy
- I do - just complete a small section, select with Selection tool, and
paste along until complete. Done! |
This rod is done the same
way, but with the darker colour to the centre.
