Text Effect  Tutorial

1. Open a new image. Use the settings: 300x100, White, 16 Million Colors.
2. Set your foreground color to RGB 165, 124, 3 and background to white.
3. Select your text tool. I used Enchantment, Regular, 36. Make sure Antialias and Floating are selected.
4. While text is seleced go to Selections>Modify>Feather. Use the setting: 1.
5. With the text still selected, click your Delete key.
6. Change foreground color to RGB 253, 228, 153.
7. Go to Image>Other>Hot Wax Coating. Then Image>Sharpen>Sharpen.
8. For the final touch, go to Image>Effect>Drop Shadow. Use the settings: Color Black, Opacity 62, Blur 4.7, Offset 3x3.
1. Open a new image. Use the same settings as above.
2. Set your foreground color to RGB 192, 192, 192.
3. Select your Text tool. Use same settings as above.
4. Invert your selection - Shift+Ctrl+I
5. Go to Image>Effect>chisel. Use setting: 25.
6. Invert selection again - Shift+Ctrl+I
7. Go to Color>Adjust>Brightness/Contrast. Use settings: Brightness 25, Contrast 0.
8. Set foreground color to white.
9. Go to Image>Other>Hot Wax Coating.
10. Adjust your brightness again, use the same settings as in Step 7.
11. You can now keep this silver or try the next steps.
12. Adjust brightness again, this time use the settings: Brightness 11, Contrast 31.
13. Go to Image>Effect>Drop Shadow. Use the settings: Color Black, Opacity 62, Blur 4.7, Offset 3x3.
